Chris King Introduces A New Color, Hub Models, and That Bottom Bracket!
September 19th, 2008 by Guitar TedChris King Precision Components is launching into the 2009 season with some new tidbits of interest. First off, there is the issue of “that bottom bracket” to deal with.

The Long And Winding Road: Chris King has been working on a bottom bracket since the last century when ISIS standards were introduced. Talk swirled for a few years about how great it would be when Chris King finally came out with the bottom bracket. Well, it didn’t materialize, and folks kind of forgot about it, or at least put it on the “back burner of the mind” wondering if they ever would see the day.
Well, that day has come, and here it is. The Chris king Precision Components bottom bracket. Not only that, but servicing tools will also be available from Chris King, but you probably guessed at that already!

The Tenth Color: Brown is the new Pink, which was the old Black, which…….ahh! whatever! It is brown anodized Chris King components, so you know they will be good, like chocolate!

The Portland Singles Scene: In single speed news, Chris King Precision Components announces a new 130 OD hub and axle for road spaced frames. Also, in a move sure to please single speeding mountain goats, Chris King unleashes three new stainless steel cogs in 21T, 22T, and 23T sizes. Hooray for knees everywhere!

It Goes All The Way Through!: King hubs have been introduced that have the popular through axle in two models with 135 OD spacing. King also is producing two models of through axle front hubs that feature the 15mm axle standard developed by Fox and Shimano that seems to be taking the mountain biking world by storm.
