Upgrade Four Wheels To Two?

With today’s energy prices on the rise, and the resultant effects that has on our basic necessities, perhaps you are considering an upgrade. Not just any upgrade, but the big commitment of going from “four wheels” to two!

I have a “regular job” as a bike mechanic and I have noticed a serious uptick in the numbers of old dusty bikes in my repair stand of late. Lots of talk going around about doing some practical things on a bicycle. Things like riding to work, getting groceries, and even (gasp!) ditching the automobile altogether.

I have an old co-worker that took the plunge, and a few folks have strayed into the shop area to tell me the same. Have you, or are you thinking of going car-less?
