“MasiGuy” Tim Jackson Crashes At Velodrome
May 2nd, 2008 by Guitar TedThe Bike Lab has learned that Tim Jackson, also known as “MasiGuy” from his blog of the same name, has crashed with severe results at a velodrome during lap 24 of a 25 lap race. It appears another rider “cracked” and drifted up into Tim’s line as he was winding up for the final sprint. Tim had nowhere to go and crashed hard into the boards at an estimated 35 plus miles per hour.
Tim is recovering in a local hospital and is strating his long road to recovery from his severe injuries including a nearly severed thumb, fractured knee cap, broken ribs, and more. Tim is said to be doing well considering the severity of the impact.
Tim Jackson, the Brand Manager of Masi Bicycles, is a well respected and well known individual within the cycling community. A blogging friend of Tim’s has set up a recovery fund to defray Tim’s expenses. Go here if you would like to contribute.
We at Crooked Cog and The Bike Lab extend our thoughts and prayers to Tim and his family and friends during this difficult time. Get weel soon, Tim!

Thanks for the love and support- it means more than I can ever tell you. Promise.
I’ll be back and on my bike/s as soon as the cast and braces all come off. I intend to come back as strong, or stronger, and give thanks for my life and the support of so many friends.
Again, thanks for all the support and well wishes. I’m flattered beyond belief.
Tim
