Quinn,

I run an EC90 handlebar, it actually will be part of our Mechanic's choice run down. (Shhh don't tell anyone) I love the bar and the sweep it offers.

As for Thompson seatposts -- the adjust ability and durability have surpassed any EC70 seat post I've ever used. Sure the weight might be less but if you are worried about weight that much look into a ti seatpost or the Thomson "Master" series

hope that helps.. if not ask me more questions and I'll do my best to answer.

I put a Thomson on my bike because I saw pictures of other's cracked and broken seat posts. A very experienced rider I know is like you and has had the same seat post for years and switches it when he gets a new ride.

This sounds goofy, but I like the knurling on the post. I think it gives the post some "grip" and keeps in locked in place without having to wrench down on your clamp.

I am looking to lighten my rig, along with a carbon fork I am thinking of EC70 bars and seatpost, why would/should I chose the Thompson post?
