The Mechanics Choice: Thomson Seatpost

What It Is: Thomson Elite Seatpost. A staple of a well built bike. Lightweight, durable, strong and infinite tilt adjustment between minus 5° and plus 29°.
Why Is It A Mechanics Choice: For years manufacturers have been trying to create something to compete with this seat post. The ease of adjust ability, the lack of weight, one piece tube /head and 100% American made. Available in silver or black in almost every size ever thought of. Straight or set back. Many, many choices.
The Mechanic Says: I personally own 5 of these seat post. One that is in the standard 27.2 size has gone between roughly 13 bikes. The “Thomson” etched in the side is still showing strong.
