Light Reviews

January 8th, 2008 by Arleigh

Here at The Bike Lab we take night riding seriously. During the winter time most of my mountain biking is done before or after the sun is out. This requires good lights and sometimes great night vision. As the season progresses you will see reviews for a several lights that I have been testing consistently since October.

Personally I own :

Light & Motion Solo NiMH - Read my review on BlueCollarMTB

Light & Motion Stella 180-L

Exposure Enduro

During the upcoming months I will have a couple lights that I am reviewing. The one I am most excited about are they Ay-Up lights. These lights are super light weight yet affordable. Once I receive them I will post up some photos and more information. I also will write up a couple reviews for the higher end lights that I already own, the Stella and Enduro. Both these lights are my weekly go to and together are a winning combination for any trail. The long battery life of the Enduro has led it to be my light for the mountains when I know I can rely on it. The Stella has almost always been on my helmet for the past 3 months. Super light weight design and easy to carry battery makes it a real winner.

For the time check out a couple reviews of new LED lights over at MTBR and Bike Mag.

are you going to review any “self contained” lights (cateye/PB/Serfas) ??

I commute on a road bike for a reason.

check out commutebybike.com if you are looking for AA charged type lights. As for self contained lights that I’ll be reviewing the only one is the Exposure light with battery incase.
