There has been some ripples in the blogosphere about new fixed gear cogs that bolt on to your 6 bolt disc hub.Â Â The ripples lead me to Tomi COGs. The basics that you need are a bike with either horizontal drop outs or an EBB and a rear wheel with disc drilling.Â You can’t use a chain tensioner so don’t try it.

This isn’t a new idea but it is an idea that hasn’t been found too often in steel.Â Endless had (from what I recall) their aluminum, Boone their Ti and I think a couple super small fabricators have dabbled.Â Â Now it looks like someone is taking it seriously, especially now that single speed is so huge.

If Team Dicky is trying it, why aren’t you?
