I found an awesome deal on eBay Christmas eve.  I have been trying to hunt down a cheaper option for a race bike in 2008.  As much as I would love to have a new Titus Racer X or Turner Nitrous - they aren’t in the budget.  I scored a Specialized Epic S-Works.  It is a few years older but I have access to any seals/bushings needed.  It also came with a Manitou Skareb which is also a few years older but will work wonderful until it either blows up or I find a decent replacement.

The frame set should arrive by next week and then it is time to do the build process.  I have all the parts stashed away and will document most of the how to on Blue Collar MTB, but will feature the parts and why I picked them here.

My first scheduled mountain bike race isn’t until the end of March but I would like to get at least one, if not two, months of solid riding on the new bike.
